Supernetting

Hello, 

This should be an eassy question for the most of you.  I have a this subnet (10.1.200.0/21) and I would like to subnet it where I will need need 1 network and 10 host IP addresses. Can this be accomplished given this subnet?

you can have 10.1.200.0/28 ( 10.1.200.0 - 15) gives 14 usable host addresses

you can split the resr of the address space up as follows to use it all

10.1.200.16/28

10.1.200.32/27

10.1.200.64/26

10.1.200.128/25

10.1.201.0/24

10.1.202.0/23

10.1.204.0/22

Hello zK,

Adding to Richard comment, Yes you can subnet this network as per your wish.

/21 is big subnet and it has 8 /24 subnet staring from 10.1.200.0 - 10.1.207.254.

10.1.200.0/24

10.1.201.0/24

10.1.202.0/24

.

.

.

10.1.207.0/24

You can take any of the above /24 subnet and subnet them further for example.

10.1.200.0/24 

10.1.200.0/28

10.1.200.16/28

10.1.200.32/28

.

.

.

So on , which can accomplish your requiremnt.
