Me and colleague at work had a discussion about root bridge and SVI. According to him Root bridge of a vlan and its SVI should be on a distribution switch. If SVI is on distribution switch and root bridge defined on access switch, it will be a problem. Can anyone explain why would it be a problem? I will also appreciate if someone can explain the traffic flow in both cases.
