Hi everyone,
I want to confirm if Cisco Switch(WS-C2960-24-S) should be able to operate on -48 V DC Supply?
Thanks

Sam,
From the hardware installation guide, I do NOT see 2960-24-S support DC input.

Hi yogesh,
Thanks for your timely response.
Is there any cisco switch that can operate on -48 V DC power supply?
thanks

In the same webpage I sent earlier, I see Catalyst 2960-24PC-L supports -48V DC. This page lists several other models which support -48V DC.

Hi yogesh,
I saw some of the switches. but for catalyst 2960-24pc-l, catalyst 2960-24lt-l and catalyst 2960-48pst-l switches, I could only see the DC input voltage for RPS 2300 to be -48 V.
Equally i saw some switches too with DC input voltage to be 48 VDC(i.e catalyst 2960PD-8TT-L)
can you please explain to me the technology behind the -48 V DC power supply for switches?
thanks
sam

Sam,
I do not know the DC power-supply technology.
I found this one in google:

Hi, rahman001
So have you figured out whether 2960-24pc-l or 2960-24lt-l support 48 DC power input?
Thanks!
