Hi guys,

Need a help advice, today I tried to upgrade IOS on Cisco switch 3850 stacks everything seems fine until system reload after upgrading.

Then I got stuck in boot fail loop... I follow the emergency recovery guid to press Mode button but nothing happened.

do you have other ways to get through this... this is driving me crazy now..

You can boot the image from USB

#boot usbflash0:filename

try this may work?

I exactly have this problem, too. Additional I don't get the "BOOT FAILURE" Message, the one and only character the serial console presents after power-on is 'þ'.

I started from Version 03.02.03.SE, using the install mode migrate to 16.12.04

My situation is now no boot and no LED activity at all.

Pressing the mode butten has no effect at all.

I assume a defective boot loder entry, file system coruption or something "very early" from booting perspective.

Is someone here who solved this problem - or is a TAC the one and only solution ?

Regards

Magnus

Hi Magnus,

Sorry you have the same problem, it was really suck.

I contacted cisco tech team but they also couldn't fix it remotely. In the end, the only solution is RMA for my 5 switches.

They mail me 5 switches and I send back the broken devices.

Hope you still have contract on it.
