Is it possible to cascade a (fiber) Dell switch to Nexus5000 as shown above ?
Does it work fine ?

It will work but you need to use MST.

Discarding frame is not an automatic problem in an Ethernet network. You need to find out what you are dropping. If you do a sh mls qos interface *** statistic, you will be able to see the COS and DSCP of the packet you are discarding. You need to find out what traffic this is and if the discarding behavior is something you want.
What the traffic level on those Gig ports ?

Dominic, thanks for youy answer. But, I have to confess I am extremely confused.
I supose i am many steps beyond what you are talking about.
By now, i am not able to make things work fine (Layer 2).
I am not sure it is possible to have a trunk between these 3 switches.
Have you done this before ?
Rosa
