switch going to RMON after reloading

Hi

I have problem with my Cisco 6506E switch.when it reloads its going to RMON mode, If I give Boot command I. The RMON, then only it will get load with the iOS image. What could be the problem ? Appreciate your kind support.

You may not have the boot variable correctly set on your device

When the IOS completely boots, go to config t and than add this command:

boot system flash sup-bootdisk

than save the config and reboot.

Reza has given a very good suggestion here and it may solve your problem. If it does not solve the problem then I have two additional suggestions:

- there may be console messages generated during the boot process that would help to identify the problem. Could you boot the switch again, capture all of the console messages generated during the boot process, and post them here?

- also I wonder if it might be a problem with the setting of the config register. Perhaps you can post the output of show version?
