Hi Expert

 

I found  "Switch Link Interfaces (SLI)" term in Cat 9400 series white paper as shown below.

What is SLI actually?

Hello,

 

in short, an SLI is a link between a line card and the switch backplane. I think the white paper you mention has numerous figures showing that the line cards connect to the backplane through SLIs, in order to make sure that traffic is switched at line rate...
