After upgrading a 2960-X to IOS 15.2 i get the following message:
Jul 22 14:20:51.933: %ILET-1-AUTHENTICATION_FAIL: This Switch may not have been manufactured by Cisco or with Cisco's authorization. This product may contain software that was copied in violation of Cisco's license terms. If your use of this product is the cause of a support issue, Cisco may deny operation of the product, support under your warranty or under a Cisco technical support program such as Smartnet. Please contact Cisco's Technical Assistance Center for more information.
I'm pretty sure that this is regular stuff, delivered from german Cisco-Distribution. Are there particular reasons for this messages or any known false positive conditions for this message?

*Sigh*
It's a bug, Karsten. Normally, I see this message when I install the stacking module. Believe it or not, taking out the stacking module and slapping it against a hard surface a few times can fix the issue.

This switch doesn't have a stack-module installed.
And if it had, i typically try not to slap my cisco-gear against hard surfaces ... ;-) Well with the exception of my UC320 that I bought for my office three years ago; but that's a different story!

Do you have a non Cisco branded SFP plugged into the switch? That will trigger this message.

On this switch, there are no SFPs installed.
