Switch stack reboot times

Hi,

We have a switch stack of 6x MS390-48U.

When we need to reboot this switch stack, it takes 30mins+ which is not ideal.

Is this normal? Is there a reason it takes so long?

Is there a config change that I can do to make this reboot process quicker?

Have you checked you're running the latest firmware on the switches? Reboot can still take a while for large stacks and dependent on configuration, but the times have reduced pretty significantly with later software. With MS390 in particular I'd recommend release 15 firmware (currently 15.21.1)

Hi GreenMan,

they are currently on 15.14.1, so they are on 15 but there is upgrades available.
