Which command can I run on a layer 2 switch to find out if the switch has internet connectivity from the service provider ?

I'm supporting multiple sites and I have limited access to certain devices

I suspect that there is more involved is your question than what appears in the original post. If you are really asking if the switch itself has internet access then log into the switch (telnet or ssh or the console port of the switch) and ping 8.8.8.8. If  the ping is successful then the switch does have Internet access. But I suspect that you are really more likely asking if devices connected to the switch have Internet access. In that case you need to identify the various vlans associated with this switch. For each of the connected vlans identify a device connected in that vlan. Access that device and from there ping 8.8.8.8.
