The Root bridge acknowledges the TCN by sending configuration BPDUs with TCA bit set.
Before to it the designated bridge will acknowledge the bridge that generated a TCN because the bridge that identified the topology change will continue to send TCN until it gets acknowledgement.
Q. As an acknowledgment, what type of BPDU will the designated bridge send to the bridge that identified toplogy change ?
Is it the same BPDU as root bridge sends ?

Hi Chandu,
The designated bridge acknowledges the TCN by immediately sending back a normal configuration BPDU with the topology change acknowledgement (TCA) bit set
Hope it helps!!

You can refer to the below CISCO document that explains the same.
