i am telnetting R2  from R1 router.if i need to login to the enable mode of R2 router via telnet , do i need to configure enable password on R2 router ?

 is there any way to do that without enable password ?

Hi you could try set a username with secret on the router then under the vty set login local , see if that works

username test priv 15 secret cisco

line vty 0 4

login local
