What is a CE500?
You can have only the VLAN 1 enabled so when you telnet anywhere it will be sourced from the interface address of VLAN 1.
Please rate if this helps.
Thanks,

Hi,
Create the interface vlan1
using the command
(config)#interface vlan1
then configure the ip address
(config-if)ip address x.x.x.x 255.x.x.x
Then try using this ip to telnet
Hope this helps you
Thanks

You should use CNA version 4.1
If you mean that this is a catalyst express 500.
