I want to offer the contract to a firm contains a central switch with the following specifications

Flash = 8 MB

SDRAM = 64 MB

switching capacity = 48G

support L2 and L3

Forwording rate 34M

support 16K mac address table

What is the equivalent switch from Cisco for this purpose and achieve the conditions .

Sounds like you are looking at at Sup720 with a 6748 line card for a 48Gig switching capacity.

4948 will fulfill all requirements with the exception of the flash and sdram

Flash memory: 64 MB

SDRAM: 256 MB

OK i see that , but the switch 6748 more Expensive from 4948

and the switch 4948 Achieve the desired and more .

Actually if you want 48Gbps at wire speed then the 6500 will not provide this because a 6478 line card has 48 ports capable of running at1Gbps but it has a 40Gbps connection to the switch fabric so there could be oversubscription. The 4948 is true wire speed.

Whether or not you can get oversubscription is another question altogether.
