total switch power consumption

Hi everyone,

using cisco power calculator for C9300-48U model and by adding few POE devices, the results shows that the switch typical power consumption without POE is 135W, and Total PoE Output Power Used is 662.40W.

My question is, in order to calculate the total required power for this switch ,should I add the above two values? so eventually I will need min 707.4W ,is this accurate ?

second question, from C9300 datasheet, the power consumption for standalone device for same model shows less values than 135W considered 100% ports utilization. any idea why?

this information is critically important in order to accurately calculate the mains power requirements for the server room and IDF room switch equipment electrical design .

thanks

Hi

You need to consider the power supply you are going to use.  Mind with Maximum output power. You dont need to calculate anything.

Hi Flavio,

Iam using a PSU1100W AC. Do you mean that the total power consumption of this switch will be 1100W?

Then what's a typical power consumption value of 135W with no POE devices attached means ?

anyone has any input on this?
