Hi all
I have a doubt on how the routers select the HOP in trace route ??
Is it based on packet leaving interface, incoming interface or highest IP ??
If you have any related documet to follow, please share that as well

Hi
Thanks for the support
However this is not the answer i expected
My question is when i see a traceroute, there will be hops IP addresses
If there are hop IP addresses, what can we take from the output ??
Did the packet leave from that?? or the successful leaving shows the hop ip ??
I mean, per se, what can be taken after looking at a traceroute ??
I have attached an example ?
Could anybody explain me about that ?
I have checked but there are no docs related
