track and sla reachbility

Hi everybody

Please consider the following

R1(config)track 2 ip sla 11 state.

When the above command is configured, the "tracking object 2"   will look at ip sla operation's recent return code then determine the tracking state as either up or down.

What will happen If i configure:

R1(config)# track 2 ip sla 11 reachability

In short when we use the option " reachbility"  as in above command. what will tracking object 2 do ?

Hi Sarah,

State tracks the error return code for the tracked IP SLA object.

Reachability tracks if the route is reachable or not.

You would use reachability code if you are trying to track a static route.
