Hello,
I have a question about the "track" command. I found a router's configuration in which there is the command "track 1 ip sla 10" without the optional word (status| reachability). In this case what is the return code? When I use this tracking to decrement the HSRP priority will it work?
Thank you very much.
Best regards.
Paolo

Hi,
That should be OK.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/ipsla/command/reference/sla_05.html#wp1093733
Verification:
sh track 1
sh ip sla monitor stat
Hope it will help.

Yes u can use IP SLA Track to Decrement HSRP Value
E.g.
Lint Vlan 1
ip Addess 192.168.1.2 255.255.255.0
Standby 10 ip address 192.168.1.1
Standby 10 priority 110
Standby 10 track 10 (ip sla 10 that u will created to track specific IP) decrement 10
In that case IF TRACK 10 goes down its Standby 10 priority will be decrement to 100
