Tracking Spanning Tree changes in syslog

Is there a way to set a 6509 running 12.2(33)SXI1 to log spanning tree topology changes? I haven't been able to see this in the logs at all. I see the results of them like HSRP flipping between interfaces but not the actual STP messages. This is without running a continuous debug.

In order to track spanning tree changes ins syslog, you need to rease the logging level to 7 for spantree.

also If you have spanning tree issues, a debug spanning-tree events forwarded to a server will help.

you need issue the command:

logging event spanning-tree status

under the interfaces you need to track changes in SPT, but please note you wiil have a message for each change and EACH vlan in the interface.
