Trying to connect Nexus 3172TQ QSFP+ to Catalyst 4948 X2 CX4

I'm trying to connect a Nexus 3172TQ QSFP+ to a Catalyst 4948 X2 CX4 port.  I've split out the QSFP+ interface on the nexus into 4 10G interfaces and connected the two via a Dell EMC Isilon InfiniBand DDR QSFP to CX4 1 Meter /3.3 FT Cable 851-0153-01 but I don't see any link.  Is this possible to do at all?  Do I need a different cable?  Thanks.

Not sure a Dell cable will work to connect 2 Cisco devices together. You may want to try this one:

For that I'll need a X2 to SFP+ adapter for the 4948 - I'm assuming a CVR-X2-SFP10G is what I want?  Thanks.
