Hello,
I am attempting to confirm if a specific switch is actually UL listed, and if so be provided with the UL certificate number to provide an authority having jurisdiction. The switch is the WS-C2960X-24TS-L model.
The literature published by Cisco states that the whole 2960 range is UL listed to 60950-1 Second Edition. However, the switch that we received has no UL listing markings on it. The UL inspector for the panel for which this switch will be integrated will not approve the panel without concrete evidence that the model is listed. We would have never approved this switch if it was not listed.
In an attempt to confirm this through UL - i did extensive research through the UL directory. The Cisco UL certificate that appears to apply to component of this category does not appear to list any 2960-X model numbers.
I have tried desperately to call, email, set up tickets, etc to try to have this question answered. I am here because all of those efforts have resulted in no assistance.
Can anyone help?

Hi Jason,
Looking at the document you posted, the list includes the 2960 and 2960G and not 2960X series. Also, do you have a Cisco sales rep you can contact? In addition, if you purchased the switch through a reseller, they should be able to provide some info regarding your questions.

Reza,
I am a specifying engineer. I specified the switches based on my understand that they were listed as stared in the literature published by Cisco. A contractor purchased the switches.
It is unbelievable to me that Cisco does not have a mechanism by which questions of this nature can be answered. All I am asking is for Cisco to confirm the products compliance with their own published literature when the evidence in the field suggests that the supplied equipment does not match the safety certifications that were promised in the publicly available literature. The switches should have come with a UL listing mark on the equipment based on all publicly available literature. I have never worked with a company that did not have a mechanism to answer the most basic safety and legal compliance related questions about their products without having purchased a support contract.
