unable to assign vlans to trunk port

I bane a Cisco 4507 layer 3 switch and for some reason cannot add vlans to a trunked port.

(Config-if) switch port trunk allowed vlan add 2,4,7,9

This is what I type in but when I do a wr t and look at the interface it is not applied

Do these VLANs exist on the switch ---> sh vlan br

Can you post sh int x/x trunk command output ?

What happens when you add 1 VLAN at a time ?

The vlans did exist, the trunk was set up properly I just factory reset the switch
