We use many 9200 8 port switches with the micro USB-B console interface. Up till today, techs have been using a OTC micro USB cable to access the 9200 V01 switches for configuration.
We attempted to configure a fresh from the box C9200CX-8P-2X2G-A V02 switch today in the same manner and our usual cable was not recognized by our laptops. (I have attached a screenshot of the device manager output). Has there been a hardware or software change that will no longer accept OTC cables? If not, is there a workaround for this issue because we will not be able to configure new hardware until we resolve it.

Hi @Thomasimler,
I've had the pains of using all sorts of different console cables too! Yes, the 9200CX 8-port model requires a USB Micro-B 2.0 cable/connector. You will probably need to re-download the VCP (Virtual Com Port) drivers from Silicon Labs:
Edit:
Also as correctly noted by Jens:
If you are on Win10/11:

If you are on XP/Vista(32/64)/7(32/64)/8,8.1(32/64):

Hello @Thomasimler,
Cisco appears to be using at least 2 USB chipsets from different vendors.
The one that is mainly used is natively supported by Win10/11 but for the other chipset you need to download a driver from Silicon Labs - CP210x Universal Windows Driver.
Once installed you should be ready to go.
HTH!
