We have a stack of Cisco 3750X-12S-S which developed a strange problem where we would lose management after a while - no SSH, Telnet, HTTP access. Putty immediately returns "server unexpectedly closed network connection".
We rebooted the stack, upgraded the firmware and regained access. We also disabled our Observium SNMP platform from monitoring the stack for a while.
However, upon re-enabling Observium we have lost management again after a few hours.
It seems really bad, that an enterprise Cisco switch has an SNMP implementation that can cause this!
Has anyone else experienced this problem with the 3750X?
Thanks

are you using any aaa servers for authentication? ie radius, ldap, tacacs
is snmp pooling restricted by access-list? what is the snmp version?
is vty restricted by access-list?

Hi,
We use Radius for login authentication only. Neither snmp or vty has any access lists controlling access.
It is all SNMP version 2c.
Thanks
