Hi,
I have got a question about stack of the 3750 switch. I need to add one more member to the stack.
After configured the switches priority and downgrade the IOS version same to the master in 3750 stack.
then I connect the stack cable and power on the new 3750. then the boot process was hanged after the master election complete.

you need to close a ring topology it looks like a cable is missing
you need to add a cable from last added switch to the first.
OR there is a cable that is faulty or not correctly plugged.

I would also advise you upgrade both boxes . 12.1.14EA1 has to be like the first IOS they ever put on those boxes and could be part of the problem . The latest is like 12.2.52 SG .

Glen,
I agree on the upgrade part; however, the 12.2SG is for Cat4500 - you'll need 12.2(50)SE3 as the most recent.

You are right I got the last letter wrong , just was doing it off the top of my head. Should be SE not SG .
