unable to stat flash/: permission denied

Hey trying to delete the config file on my Cisco 2950.

But i get this error Message: unable to stat flash/: permission denied after doin this commands

Hi Sebastian,

Please make sure to type a colon ":" after the dir flash.

The switch file system is displayed:

switch: dir flash:
Directory of flash:/

Hi,

U need to enter format flash:

This will prompt you tht this will erase all the data on flash u need to confrim it.

Once the flash is formatted u need to upload the IOS through Xmodem which is to transfer the image through console cable.
