Hi Saket

"output discard" is a packet that passed through the fabrinc interface, but was dropped because the host-interface (HIF) buffers are full.

HTH,

Alex

Hi Alex ,

Thanks for the reply .

Can you please tell how we can reduce/ stop  the continous increasing output discard error in a nexus switch  interface  .

Regards

Saket

Hello,

You can enable the Flow-control on the Server side and see the drop counters will be gradually stop.

If possible add additional interfaces from server and configure it in the Port-channel.

Thanks,
