unicast flooding

Can someone tell me how I can verify that unicast flooding occurs on a 4500 catalyst with ios?

configure 3-4 ports in the same vlan. Send traffic on 1 port and verify that the traffic is sent on all the ports using the counters.

Connect a sniffer on a port...if you see any traffic where the destination mac address doesn't have the multicast bit set, and that MAC address isn't in the mac-address table (as shown by 'show mac-address interface ', then the traffic is unicast flood.

thanks a lot.

i have the cam timer to 14400 seconds adjusted. so that no unicast flooding can occur.
