Unmanaged switch - No patching ?

Hi all,

I don't know if the question seems a bit dumb.. I am looking at certain segments in my network where it is quite flat and require no extra features or management to use an unmanaged switch.

I am looking at Cisco SB SG102-24 but I can't find any related IOS and software download / firmware upgrade information .

I am not sure if this is only applicable to model above,  or all unmanaged cisco switch does not require any firmware upgrade / patching  ?
Are they running IOS ?

According to the data sheet it doesn't require any software. I guess it is just like a dump hub.
