unusable mgmt int on 3500xl

hi all,

having an odd problem with some 3500xl's that i'm trying to configure for telnet access. i've configured a mgmt interface and i can ping it from the switch but i can't ping the gateway or anything else. likewise i can't ping the mgmt interface from anywhere outside the cli (ie. even a machine plugged into the switch times out). any ideas? config follows.

i should add that i can't -telnet- in either.

Whats attached to these 3500's ? Is the trunk working correctly on the far end ? Is vlan 1 subnet on the attached device up/up on the far end ? May have to post the far end device configs .
