Upgrade stack switch with different h/w version

Hello,

I wanted to upgrade stacked WS-C3650-48PD from  Version 03.06.04.E RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2) to IOS XE Software- Fuji-16.9.6(MD).

I have noticed the difference in hardware version for the both switches V03 and V05.

Is it safe to upgrade the switches to the IOS XE Software- Fuji-16.9.6(MD).?

Different hardware revisions will not affect you making this upgrade.

Different hardware version is not an issue because you are going from 3.6.X to 16.X.X.

Had the situation been the reverse, from 16.X.X to 3.6.X, it would not be possible due to CSCva22409.
