I recently upgraded three C1000-8FP-2G-L switches from 15.2(7)E4 to 15.2(7)E6. After the upgrade the webui was giving me the dreaded "404 not found" error. I've tried downgrading back to 15.2(7)E5, then 15.2(7)E4, then 15.2(7)E3 and none of the previous versions are working properly.
Here are some pertinent configs that I've tried after reading some of the other posts similar to this:
username cisco privilege 15 password 0 cisco
no aaa new-model
switch 1 provision c1000-8fp-2g-l
ip http server
ip http banner
ip http authentication local
ip http secure-server
Really would appreciate the help with solving this mystery.

Ok, we gonna do this "by the book".
Do the following in CLI:
delete /f /r flash:c1000-universalk9-mz.152-7.E*.bin archive download-sw /leave flash:c1000-universalk9-tar.152-7.E5.tar
Once the 2nd command goes in, the switch may "freeze" for about 10 minutes. Leave it alone. It will unpack the IOS correctly and this process will take another 15 minutes (on top of the first 10 minutes).
This 2nd command will also unpack all the HTML files for IOS version 15.2(7)E5 and leave the old version behind.
Once the unpacking process completes, reboot the switch.

Post the complete output to the command "dir".
I suspect someone performed the so-called "upgrade" by copying the BIN file.

I upgraded from the GUI originally via upload. Perhaps that's where I went wrong?

Thanks for the kind words but I don't really deserve such accolades.
