I'm upgrading two switches from Sup1 to Sup2 engines. I have a good number of HSRP connections configured across the two switches.
When I install the new cards I realize all the physical MAC addy's will stay the same due to the line cards staying the same, but what about the virtual MAC addresses related to the standyby IP's of my HSRP configurations?
Will I need to clear arp on the HSRP devices since they'll have the old virtual MAC's? Or will the reboot of the switches force a re-arp on the devices connected to the switches?
I should also add that I am not currently preconfiguring the virtual IP/Mac for the standbyip, it's dynamic.
Just trying to clear up as many gotcha's as I can, thanks for the help.

HSRP Virtual MAC address is built by the following rule:
0000.0c07.ac** (where ** is the HSRP group number)
Therefore, active HSRP should use the same virtual MAC address if the group # is not changed.
Standby HSRP should use it's physical MAC address.
