Upgrading WS-3560X from LANBASE to IPBASE

I have WS-3560X switches with LANBASE image and i want to upgrade them to IPBASE. Please guide me that by only upgrading IPBASE IOS will work for me or IPBASE license will also required?

Hello,

do you have the universal image installed on your switch ? Do a 'show version' and check if that image is installed on your switch (it has 'universal' in the name). You need to purchase the IP Base License and install it on your switch in order to unlock the IP Base feature set.

So, yes, you need the license.
