usage of Xmodem in 3850 switch

Hi everyone, I am having a single switch 3850 48 port series and it has currupted ios in it. It is not booting due to the currupted IOS. I am having a .bin file downloaded from another switch using TFTP which is around 300 mb in size. I was trying to copy that from xmodem to the switch in Rommon mode [Switch: ] i am getting error saying "The transfer is cancelled by a remote system". And i am not able to make the switch work properly. Could someone help me with this regard. Thanks in advance.

Didn't get your scenario. Let's make everything clear. Do you already have .bin file on another switch in your network? If it's true and switches are directly connected to each other , do the following:

**it doesn't matter if you don't have the file on the other switch. Just do it and continue :

On healthy 3850 :

tftp-server flash:file.bin ( file = Exact file name )

interface gig x/x ( directly connected to corrupt switch)

no switchport

ip address 1.1.1.1 255.255.255.0

On corrupt switch:

Switch: set IP_ADDR = 1.1.1.2/255.255.255.0

Switch: set DEFAULT_ROUTER = x.x.x.x ( Optional )

switch: ping 1.1.1.1

switch: emergency-install tftp://1.1.1.1/file.bin

Note: If there isn't any other switches, you can put the file on a computer and make it a tftp server ( with small free applications ) .
