hi guys
when we check cisco 6509 monthly,
what is the most useful command for checking the system of 6509??
just checking the currently showing the status is not a good way, if it's monthly checking
I mean, it's better what happened during a month,
for example what was the highest cpu usage?
what was the highest mem usage??
what was the critical issue(fan, power supply) ??
these thing are much better than checking the currently showing
pls advise me to manage system efficiently

- There's no-single command covering all of that. Memory , CPU may be monitored by snmp manager software if the correct OID is provided (e.g.). Critical issues can be followed up by using network monitoring tools , Nagios (e.g.) can catch traps and give alerts on fan and power supplies , but needs manual work to accomplish that. Cisco Prime will do that more automatically.

Hello,
you could also run EEM scripts to collect what you are looking for, and have EEM send the output to a TFTP server, or anywhere you want. You could also set this up so you receive emails when e.g. thresholds are exceeded...
