Virtual switch System

Dear Team,

We had done the successfully implemented VSS in our 4500x switch, Now one switch is Active Stage & other one in Standby stage.

If the active switch goes down then stand by switch will take over it & will became Active switch.Like how VSS works.

My question:

Once the Active switch is back,will it be back in Active stage or stay in standby stage. Until the active switch goes down. 

I want to know how we configure PREEMPT  in VSS.

Hi Raza,

Once the Active switch is back,will it be back in Active stage or stay in standby stage. Until the active switch goes down. 

When the active switch is back up it will come up as stand-by. 

There is really no need for preemption as each switch can work as active or stand-by.
