Vlan issue

hi all.

here is the setup i have:

ASA5510 - int e2 >port 14 on 2960sw in VLAN 40and port 14 is set to access mode.

Server plugged into port 13 of same switch same vlan and set to access as well.

ASA has access list to permit icmp any any echo on the e2 interface.

Switch mac-add-table shows mac address of both asa and server on corect ports.

ASA arp shows the mac address of server.

The problem: I cant ping from my asa to the switch or the switch to the ASA although the server can ping the gateway and the switch can ping the server..

Any ideas/suggestions.

Regards

sorry

The problem is I cant ping from the asa to the server(no firewall on server) or the switch to the ASA. I can ping from switch to server and server to ASA.

post the output of "show run icmp" please.
