VLAN Question

Just want to make sure I have this understood 100%

Lets say I have VLAN 1 and 2 on switch 1 and switch 2.

If the connection between switch 1 and switch 2 is a trunk then vlan 1 on switch 1 is able to talk to vlan 1 on switch 2....same for vlan 2....but without a router or layer 3 switch, they will not be able to talk to each other?

is that correct?

Hi,

Yes. You are absolutely correct.

For intervlan communication to happen, you need a router or a layer 3 switch.
