Hi I'm new to vlans and intervlan routing and need some help please.
I'm trying to give server 1 access to our line control system. The line control system is on a different subnet so I created a vlan and setup intervlan routing. A link to my network diagram of my setup is below.
For some reason I still cannot ping the 172.20.108.x network
Any advise would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Hi
I saw the server has 2 NICs, You can have just 1 default gateway on the server, how it is configured?
06-20-2017 05:37 AM
NIC 1 has the default gateway of 172.20.110.241. This is the gateway fr the company LAN.
NIC 2 does not have a gateway configured. Its just left blank

Thank you
The SG300 supports intervlan routing, are you passing the vlans over the trunk? Is possible to paste the configuration?

Yes the vlans need to go over the trunk

Hi,
Thank you try configuring: ip routing on both switches.

Thanks but it did not help

Are you able to ping addresses assigned to SVIs on the switch from the switch itself?
172.20.108.55
172.20.111.60
06-20-2017 10:33 AM
Hi
Yes I can ping both the SVI IP's (172.20.108.55 & 172.20.108.56) from both SG300-28P switches
06-20-2017 10:59 AM
Have you verified if the switchports where the NICs are connected were configured on the proper vlans?
06-20-2017 11:30 AM
In addition to Julio's comment, hosts that are having issues are they able to ping their gateways?
06-21-2017 01:51 AM
Guys your not going to believe this but the issue was that the consultant for the Line Control System hadn't plugged in the cable to his system. As soon as he did I could ping the systems ip addresses.
Apologies for wasting your time and many thanks to you all.

Hi
Happy to hear the problem was fixed.
No worries, it was a pleasure.
Have a good day.

Hello,
which device did you configure the inter-Vlan routing on ? Can you post the configuration of that device ?
06-20-2017 08:36 AM
Hi Georg
I configured it on both the Cisco SG300-28P switches. I used the following link which gives a step by step guide
