Hi,
If I have two switches that are in transparent mode with exact same vlans and a port channel between them with trunk enabled are they able to carry vlan data between themselves?

Hi,
Yes, they can exchange data. VTP is used for easy and centralized management VLANs. Suppose if you have thousands of switches it's not effective to configure on each switch VLAN manually. So VTP helps you here.
Hope it will help.

Yes, transparent, client and server mode are used just for vtp.

I hear that but in transparent mode the local database is private and not shared so if two switches have identical vlan can the exchange data?
