I need to change the VPC ID on a pair of peer Nexus 7k VDC's (NX-OS 6.2.10, current ID overlaps with same ID at OTV connected backup datacenter).
I'm aware the procedure seems to be simply issue "vpc domain x" on each peer, and I should be off and running. My question is - what to expect? I know there will be a VPC reconvergence necessary, and thus some likely traffic interruption. But am wondering how long this will take, whether to issue the command simultaneously on the two peers, etc.
Thanks in advance.

The duration of the interruption is going to be minimum if you log in to both switches and change them almost at the same time. Once the the switches see each other the convergence should be fast.
I would do this in a maintenance window just in case it takes longer than it should.

Yes, I have a maintenance window of 30 min. You answered my question as to whether to do both simultaneously, which I though would be proper, but wasn't sure.
Thanks much for your response!
