VRRP Virtual IP

Hi,

I have a question regarding VRRP virtual IP. We normally configure VRRP virtual IP as the default gateway  in the hosts connected to the switches. If we change the virtual IP, is there any way the hosts can automatically configure the changed virtual IP address as the default gateway IP address.

Not as far as I am aware.

The default gateway is set either using DHCP or manually.

If you change the default gateway IP then you would need to either -

1) update the DHCP pool and do an ipconfig /release, ipconfig /renew

or

2) if you manually configured the IP settings change them on each device.
