Dear all,

I have configured VSS in two core distribution with port-channel and eigrp, but when I type show ip route it is showing only one side traffic(one Port-channel). If I shutdown that port-channel, I am unable reach the vss. Is there any command to do the load balancing with port-channel.

Regards

Selvam

Hi,

So, you have a switch that connected to a VSS pair via a portchannel?

if yes, than if you shut the portchannel all links in that portchannel go down.  You need to down a port in the portchannel and not the portchannel itself

What is the design look like?

On non-VSS devices, load sharing commands, i.e. what's available, and default vary by platform.  Most newer platforms support multiple options.

On VSS devices, it ignores load sharing between VSS members, as VSS tries to keep all dataflows from crossing VSL links.  If there are multiple links on same member, I suspect that device load sharing options might apply.
