VSS using singlemode and multimode on opposite sides

Just a question to see if anyone who had done this knew, but lets say I have Switch A, and it has 2 links(that are port channelled and 1 link each heads back to each side of the VSS).  I know it works fine with them both being Multimode or both being singlemode, but are there any issues with 1 side being Singlemode, and one being Multimode?  Will there be any sort of conflict with the systems and if so, is there a configuration way around it?  Just curious.

I've never done it either but i can't see why it wouldn't work as etherchannel doesn't care about the physical media as long as the speeds are the same.

Never done it, but curious what you are trying to archive.

If you are within the MM distance then use multimode if not SM.  SM optics are more expensive.

We have 6 pairs of multimode, and 6 pairs of singlemode coming back from a location, with 5 pairs of each being used, and I was wanting to see if the seperate types would work so something that was already plugged in wouldnt have to be rerun through the other type of fiber.
