Hi members, does the cat 9300 support VXLAN? The use-case is for vm mobility between two locations.
Thnx
i have not tried it but as per document it say so.
Hello Sandev,
in the C9300 VXLAN is not mentioned
I tried also to look at feature navigator
https://cfn.cloudapps.cisco.com/ITDIT/CFN/jsp/by-feature-technology.jsp
VXLAN is supported on ASR1000 or ISR4331 routers.
Depending on your network environment , you can think of using OTV or VPLS to extend selected Vlans between the two locations. But you would need Nexus switches or ASR 1000 devices for doing this.
Edit:
as noted by BB a configuration guide for BGP VXLAN for Catalyst 9300 exists, so it should be supported with the correct licenses installed.
Hope to help
Giuseppe
Hello,
All Nexus 9000 platforms support VXLAN.
Details on VXLAN with MP-BGP EVPN (but you don't necessarily need EVPN for simple use cases):

Hey, if possible, can you please share the documents that helped you in configuring those switches. I am trying to set up in my lab, but could not find the documentation for that.
Thank you.
Hi Rijo,
We are trying to implement vxlan on 9300 but not successful yet. Can you please share your vxlan config for us to understand how you achieved this connectivity ?
Many thanks.
Hi Vishal, please refer to this post i have attached,
i have attached the config in this post
Hi Rijo,
Thanks for sharing the link, it is exactly what I wanted. Is it possible for you to share a topology, to understand the configuration better please?
Thanks again.

TOPOLOGY is pretty simple
i connected the 9300 to one switch acting as core. and did Layer 3 between them. and extended the network between the 9300 using BGP-EVPN.
9300<-------->L3-ROUTER/SWITCH<------------>9300
Please mark post as helpful if it helped.
Thanks
Hi Rijo,
Can you confirm why we need to do RT import and export under evpn config ?
l2vpn evpn instance 65535 vlan-based
encapsulation vxlan
route-target export 100:100
route-target import 100:100
