Hello,
I'm trying to configure WCCP redirection using L2 forwarding on a 3750 Stack but the "ip wccp web-cache" command is not accepted.
Can you please help?
Stack_3750X(config)#ip wccp ^ % Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

Thank you Mark, I've seen that, but I also need to unstack the switches to enable ipservices feature, otherwise the license state remains to "Not in Use, EULA not accepted" status, the "license boot level ipservices" has no effect.

if there stacked you should be able to install the license to each switches flash and then reboot the stack without having to take it down
example from one of our stacks--load to each flash do a show license detail then save and reboot stack and each switch should come up with the new license once there valid

I did the following commands, saved and rebooted but it did not solve:
Stack_3750X(config)#license boot level ipservices switch 1 Stack_3750X(config)#license boot level ipservices switch 2 Stack_3750X(config)#license boot level ipservices switch 3
I still have:
Stack_3750X#sh license
Index 1 Feature: ipservices
Period left: Life time
License Type: PermanentRightToUse
License State: Active, Not in Use, EULA not accepted
License Priority: None
License Count: Non-Counted
Index 2 Feature: ipbase
Period left: Life time
License Type: Permanent
License State: Active, In Use
License Priority: Medium
License Count: Non-Counted
Index 3 Feature: lanbase
Period left: 0 minute 0 second
Here is what I get in details.

Note there is a mismatch between the 3 switches. Are you sure I do not need to unstack them ?
Thanks,

Hi
no you dont need to break the stack to upgrade licenses heres another link someone else answered to regarding that
https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11059381/how-upgrade-license-stacked-c3570e
Looking at your outputs there eval licenses have you actually installed the ipservcies licenses to each flash in the stack or are you planning on using eval as they will run out , the license boot commands will only work if the actual ipservices license is installed in each flash using license install from my previous screenshot and then use your license boot to pick which license to run on each switch , each switch needs to be set the same

Hi,
I did not install the licenses myself (I took the switches as they were, it's for lab purposes) and preferably I'd prefer permanent licenses than evaluation.
Under the file system (flash:x...) I cannot located any .xml licence file.
Example:
Stack_3750X#dir flash1: Directory of flash1:/ 2 -rwx 9678 Mar 30 2011 01:34:19 +00:00 private-config.text 3 drwx 512 Mar 3 1993 20:34:17 +00:00 c3750e-universalk9-mz.150-1.SE2 468 -rwx 856 Mar 30 2011 01:29:51 +00:00 vlan.dat 469 -rwx 6190 Mar 30 2011 01:30:10 +00:00 config.text.backup 470 -rwx 9678 Mar 30 2011 01:30:10 +00:00 private-config.text.backup 471 -rwx 6192 Mar 30 2011 01:34:19 +00:00 config.text 472 -rwx 3096 Mar 30 2011 01:30:10 +00:00 multiple-fs 473 drwx 512 Mar 30 2011 02:06:13 +00:00 c3750e-universalk9-mz.150-2.SE7 998 drwx 512 Mar 30 2011 02:06:13 +00:00 dc_profile_dir
Do you have any idea?

Hi yes ipservices license are very expensive you need to buy them off Cisco but if its just for testing you can run eval licenses for a few weeks and then revert back to the ipbase license
see this regarding your output above where eval is not working right , you need to reboot them and accept eval

Ok, I finally found the solution. I did the following commands, saved and rebooted:
Stack_3750X#license right-to-use activate ipservices switch 1 acceptEULA
Stack_3750X#license right-to-use activate ipservices switch 2 acceptEULA
Stack_3750X#license right-to-use activate ipservices switch 3 acceptEULA
So now the WCCP command works:
Stack_3750X(config)#ip wccp ?
<0-254> Dynamically defined service identifier number
source-interface Set source interface for Router ID
version protocol version
web-cache Standard web caching service

ah good stuff
