Hi, he need to know many concurrent sessions can redirect at layer 2 the 3750 via WCCP. This is the data we need for the 3750 and the 6500 switches.
Any data or documents about thos question?
Thanks

Hi,
On the 3750 switches, Performance should not be a problem. All forwarding decisions are HW based, and thus are line rate.
You may hit scalability numbers with the TCAM resources. Currently WCCP shares TCAM space with Policy Based routes.
On Cat6500, What's more important is the assignment method and interception direction. Using mask assignment and (only) input interception
will allow for WCCP redirection to be handled in hardware.

Isabel,
TCAM resources on 3750 WCCP supports close to few hunderd routes. If it is within that limit, i guess you will easily be able to scale the setup and should be ok for an Enterprise network.. This limit might not be ok for a service provider network. You can use the " SDM" templates to to maximize the resource on 3750 switches.

Hi Amit, we think exactly the same, but we need some technical data (for example, concurrent WCCP sessions supported) to decide what switch to use, 3750 is the cheapest but we wouldn't like to see in a future performance problems at the network.
Thanks.
