My 2610 had been participating just fine in my little OSPF lab; I went into config-if mode and gave its Eth0 interface the ip address I wanted. Then I realized I needed to re-assign the addresses in its area; and suddenly when I give the
config)# int e0
command, it says "%Incomplete command." I've tried every variation of what the "?" facility says I should say in global config mode; and still with the "%Incomplete command" message.
This also now occurs when I do a "show interface e0" command in EXEC mode (user or privileged).
Why the heck is it doing this?

Can you look at show ip int brief? Can you see ethernet 0 or ethernet 0/0?
The ethernet interface on this platfrom is onboard and on slot 0 hence the system would see it as e0/0 not e0
Router(config)#int e0
% Incomplete command.
Router(config)#inter e0/0
Router(config-if)#end
Router#show int e0
% Incomplete command.
Router#show int e0/0
Ethernet0/0 is administratively down, line protocol is down
Hardware is AmdP2, address is 0030.853b.ad60 (bia 0030.853b.ad60)
MTU 1500 bytes, BW 10000 Kbit, DLY 1000 usec,
Hope that helps.

!!!!!
The twilight zone thing is; I'd have >>>SWORN<<< that I got into that interface just fine earlier in the day by only calling it "e0"
Maybe my fingers magically slipped at those moments and I accidentally typed the /0 (I've done stranger things.)
Anyway.....THANKS!
