When you set up a channel group and check the port channels with show etherchannel port-channel a result can look like:switch.jpg

What is the meaning of "GC = 0x00000000"?

I asked my tutor but he couldn't give me an understandable answer and told me not to worry about it.

Hello,

after a long search, I found the Cisco Glossary of Acronyms linked below. According to that document, GC means Global Configuration.

The value 0x00010001 is probably binary and converts to decimal 2. What that value means...I have no idea.

My tutor said that it's some sort of index that has to do with load sharing in some way but that didn't really help my understanding.

Does that mean anything to you?
